The Harvey Black Group Charity Race Day
Toowoombas iconic Race Day, the Harvey Black Family Cup, entered a new era when it brought the magic of the Spring Racing Carnival to the Toowoomba Turf Club.
The Turf Club's Wippell's Grand Marquee was transformed into a spring racing carnival masterpiece as part of the day, where $40,000 was raised, where all proceeds from the Race Day will go towards providing new medical equipment for both St Vincent's and St Andrew's Private Hospitals and the homeless shelter The Basement.
The Race Day featured a full program including an Unofficial Race 8 as the last race in the form of a relay running race featuring local celebrities.
Business leaders from across Toowoomba went head to head in a barefoot celebrity relay race and Troy Morgan's Willow's Health and Lifestyle team took the honour with Nivard Nelson's Altitude coming in second and Steve Kelk from McNab placing third.
